Another New Father

Turns out there is a real new father.  My brother and his wife brought forth into this world a son named Chase.  That's Chase as in Salmon P. Chase who was the Chief Justice at the first impeachment trial (Johnson).  The Chief Justice for the second impeachment trial (Clinton) wrote a wonderful book called Grand Inquests about that fascinating trial and the trial of another lesser known Chase--Samuel Chase who was impeached during Jefferson's tenure in an attempt to undo the Federalists stranglehold on justice.  I didn't agree with Rehnquists politics, but all three of his books are good reads.

So if my brother gives you a present and asks for a piece of paper to rub on his forehead--which he will give back to you, don't do a 1000 CFA note!  And don't do a 10000 CFA note!  No.  Give him a 10000 dollar note.  Because who is on the 10000 dollar bill?  Why it's Chase, of course.

Hey Mark. Now that I'm over that frontal shot, I'm back on board with the blog! Congratulations on being an uncle again also. I can attest to the pleasure and ease of the job :)

I'm not sure I'd call the job easy. I don't know how to talk to children. It'll be easier as they age. At least this one's a boy, so I know what to get him on Xmas--Legos. You can give Legos every year and nobody says, "Oh I already have Legos". You can always use more Legos.
